  • Arrange visits to places of local and general interest to our Members; 
  • Arrange social events to publicise the Society and encourage new membership;
  • Research and record the Parish's heritage and natural history;
  • Share archived research and material with the public; 
  • Display examples from our archives; 
  • Respond to queries about the heritage and natural history of the Parish.
  • Single Annual Membership £12/Double Annual Membership £20.

Events 2023:

 Saturday 10 June

 12 noon - 4pm:  "An Afternoon With Lucy Kitt".  This event celebrates the Society’s 20th Anniversary with Lucy Kitt, a modern folk singer/songwriter.  Venue:  Lynsted Church

 Saturday 5 August  6pm for 7pm:  Community Orchard Group hosting Cameo Opera with a programme of Popular Opera, Operetta and Songs from hit West End and Broadway Musicals.  Venue:  Lynsted Cherry Orchard.
 Sat/Sun 19-20 August  We have invited a woodturner to show traditional wood turning using a pole lathe.  Venue:  Bredgar and Wormshill Light Railway
 Monday 28 August 1pm - 4pm:  Lynsted Summer Fete  An important and popular event in our Parish.  Venue:  Lynsted Park
 Wednesday 13 September  8pm: "Growing a Wilder Blean"  The Introduction of Bison to Blean Woods.  Venue:  Lynsted Church
Wednesday 4 October Sheperd Neame Brewery8pm: "The History of Shepherd Neame - Britain's Oldest Brewery". A talk by archivist, historian and author John Owen.
Venue: Lynsted Church.
Admission: Members free; Non-Members £3. Light refreshments included.
Saturday 28 October Toll Wood Fungus Foray 2022 A Fungus Foray in Toll Wood. Led by Martin Newcombe. More details to follow.

"0 Years of the Society
Reintroduction of the chough7.30pm: AGM swiftly followed by "Reintroducing the Red-Billed Chough to Kent". Presentation by Suzanne Kynaston (of the Wildwood Trust).
Followed by wine and nibbles to celebrate 20 years of the Society.
Admission free to all.
